Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting (Multiple Position)

Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting, Tenure Track
Full-time tenure track assistant or associate professor of accounting position available September 1, 2016. An earned doctorate in accounting or a related discipline is required (ABD candidates will be considered, however ABD candidates will be hired at the Instructor level). Evidence of potential for teaching, research and service in the accounting field is required. Related industry work experience is plus, as is exposure to or experience within the liberal arts.

The position involves teaching accounting and related business courses at the undergraduate level and MBA level, which may include Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Taxation, Auditing, Government Accounting, Cost Accounting, or Accounting Information Systems. Accounting faculty members may also teach courses in Financial Management or Hospitality and Tourism Management, or other business areas or other disciplines, depending on academic credentials and professional experience. All Stockton faculty members are required to teach courses in the general studies program as well.

Visiting Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting
Visiting (one-year), full-time accounting position, at the rank of assistant or associate professor available September 1, 2016. A PhD in Accounting or a related discipline is strongly desired, although candidates with a Master’s Degree and strong professional experience are also encouraged to apply. (ABD candidates will be considered, however ABD candidates will be hired at the Instructor level). Evidence of potential for teaching in the Accounting field is required, with potential for research and service also desired. Related industry work experience is plus, as is exposure to or experience within the liberal arts.

The position primarily involves teaching Accounting and related business courses at the undergraduate level, which may include Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Taxation, Auditing, Government Accounting, Cost Accounting, or Accounting Information Systems. Accounting faculty members may also be asked to teach courses in the Master in Business Administration (MBA) program or in the general studies program. Visiting positions also carry research and service duties.

Salary for all positions: Commensurate with experience.
